VIANA DO CASTELO, JULY 6th to July 10th, 2012

Several marine investigation institutions of the Galiza-North of Portugal, are promoting in Viana do Castelo the "Sea Week" from the 6th to the 10th of July.

This event, happening between the 6th and 10th of July, has the purpose to connect the common citizen with the investigation, inviting them to participate in several activities and help understand why there's the need to study the oceans and the importance that knowledge has in the conservation of the sea an in our society.

During these days, Viana do Castelo will become the capital of marine investigation, with a program filled with several actions, workshops, guided tours, conferences and cinema. All the activities will be oriented to a non-technical audience.

Registration has limited vacancies can be made until July the 5th. This doesn't apply to the dock visit which can be done during the event. Register!

There will be a visit to the Norte beach, Viana do Castelo and we recomend proper shoes for humid rock. Don't bring slippers.
