Project LIFE+ MarPro, within the Concrete Conservation Action Improvement of Marine Animals Stranding Network, purchased an emergency vehicle, which will improve the first aid efficiency provided to marine animals stranded along the Portuguese continental coast.
The official presentation of the emergency vehicle will be held at Administração do Porto da Figueira da Foz (40.14770, -8.86398) on the 18th of July, at 17:30h. This will include a brief presentation about the LIFE+ MarPro project and a talk mostly directed at lifeguards, fire-fighters and Maritime Police about how to proceed in case of a live marine animal stranding. Also, there will be a simulacrum of a live stranding at the Praia do Relógio - Figueira da Foz.
