The European Commission is launching a new Award designed to celebrate and promote best practices for nature conservation in Europe.
The European Natura 2000 Award aims to bring the success of the network to the public’s attention and to demonstrate its importance for protecting biodiversity across Europe.
This pan-European Award recognises excellence in the management of Natura 2000 sites and conservation achievements, showcasing the added value of the network for local economies, and increasing public awareness about Europe's valuable natural heritage.
