Razorbills release

In a joint action with University Of Minho, da SPVS an Maritime Police of Nazaré on the 4th of January, 2012 was possible to collect 5 razorbills (Alca torda) who were still alive and trapped in fishing nets in the bay area of Nazaré. The alive razorbills
were taken to the Center for Marine Animal Rehabilitation of Quiaios (CRAM-Q) where they received the appropriate treatment. Some of razorbills collected at this event were released off Quiaios with the help of the Maritime Police of Figueira da Foz. This action took place under the MarPro Project, co-financed by the LIFE Programme.
